There are two main ways you can get more pins from your blog post: switching up the design and switching up the copy. Let's talk design first.
1. Use a variety of pin templates
Having a bunch of different pin graphic templates means that you can create a lot of pins for the same blog post. It may be the same content, but with a different text layout, different photos, or different color background, it looks a little bit different.
And when you're working from templates, it's a lot easier to create different pin variations than to start from scratch every time.
2. Infographic that ish
Saveable content is all the rage on Pinterest right now, and infographic-style pins are uber-saveable. Things like checklists, Venn diagrams, and quotes give Pinterest users the information straight away without having to click for more.
Read through your blog post and see if there's any way you can turn the post or a section of the post into an infographic.
See how I'm taking sections of the original blog post and making that a main focus of the pin?
That's an excellent way to stretch that blog post a little further by switching up the copy and reframing the content. Which brings us to the copy section of this email…
3. Use Different Title Formats
There's no rule that you have to use the exact same blog post title as your pin title or text overlay. In fact, I would highly recommend using a bunch of different titles.
Here are some ideas of different title formats to try:
- Listicles: 4 Ways to Do X
- How To [Insert Topic Here]
- Ask a question (and promise the answer in the blog post)
- The Ultimate Guide to XYZ
4. Focus on Different Sections of the Blog Post
You know that massive blog post you worked so hard on? Pull one of the subheadings and use that as the focus for a pin.
I could create a pin that's focused entirely on what to include in your lead magnet landing page that still links back to the same "How to Market Your Lead Magnet on Pinterest" blog post.
Zoom in and out of your content, look at it upside down, backward, or sideways... whatever it takes to find a new way to present the information.
