Dear friend,
I am glad you're here on this journey with me. I've had the tendency in life to be a bit of a lone-wolf who has prided herself in being independent and self-sufficient. Those qualities have served me well over the years, but without proper balance they have also carried a heavy cost. One of the hardest lessons I've learned has been the value of asking for help. Apparently, my younger self would have rather struggled, suffered and dragged things out than lean on people. Whether it was the fear of being seen as “weak” or a burden to those I care about, this lack of “using my resources” (as I tell my kids to do) truly hindered my success and undermined my joy. That’s why over the past couple years I have focused my energy on building a strong community around myself and not being afraid to use them!
You see, nobody does this life thing alone! Every time we choose to let someone in, we are opening the door for connection and community. Community is defined as “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.” Doesn’t that sound ahhmazing? I want more of that in my life!
How about you?
This leads me to my special announcement. I am launching a free monthly newsletter that embraces wholehearted living and growing through life experiences together! I can’t think of a better way to fully embrace the richness of community than offer meaningful support to my community by exploring all things wholehearted.
Here's the scoop!
