With the layoffs + bank fails, tech especially is talking about $$$ right now. So let's.
 
Some fret, “we can't afford to think about diversity right now.” Opes.
 
Corporate diversity isn't a “nice to have” - - it brings superior financial returns.
 
Your company (or eng/design teams, or sales group) can't afford not to have gender + racial diversity in iffy financial times.
Demographically-alike teams lull people into bad things 🤢🤢🤢, like: 
  • Taking cavalier risks (see: SVB's all-white exec team; JFK's Bay of Pigs invasion…),
  • Launching narrow-minded products that don't work for the users(see Marriott's White's-only Soap Dispenser).
  • Accepting the status quo; a herd mentality that's terrible for innovation.
If you're reading this, my guess is you “get it”.
