It's SNIP SEASON!

Kitten season is typically kicking off this time of year as the weather warms and tomcats prowl the streets looking for a mate. Our team of volunteer trappers have already been very active and in 3 recent weeks captured 13 female cats, 10 of which were pregnant! Female cats can have 3 litters a year, and at 4-6 kittens per litter, that lineage can produce up to thousands of kittens in as short as five years. In the first quarter of 2023, we are already are near an intake of100 cats and kittens, which more than doubles our 2022 Q1 of 33 and blows away Q1 2021's count of 25. This is why our mission is more urgent than ever.

How can you help? There are a number of ways…
  • Seeing strays? Contact us at info@alleycatproject.org, DM on our social channels or call us (206) 745-0243 (9am to 9pm)
  • Donate to us directly online. All of our funds support spay/neuter surgeries, eartipping, microchips, vaccines, food and other necessary care.
  • Talk to your neighbors or online on platforms such as NextDoor. Share Alley Cat's info with them as we likely have a volunteer in that neighborhood that can help trap.
