CHALLENGE
Create a lettered piece using the alphabet! I chose to letter in lowercase, incorporate
bounce, and kept most of the letters connected. This is just one interpretation--feel free to use it as a guide or create your own variation!
SUGGESTED BREAK DOWN + EXERCISE IDEAS FOR THE MONTH
- Lowercase letter practice: Go through all the lowercase letters of the alphabet. Repeat each letter 3-5 times before moving on to the next.
- Uppercase practice: Do the same with the all the uppercase letters.
- Or combine both and go through the alphabet that way: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, etc.
- Start playing around with connecting letters and creating a layout: decide if you want to use lower or uppercase letters or a mix of both, how many lines you want to split up the alphabet into, how to create a balanced piece, etc.
- Pick your layout and begin your final piece--it helps to lightly letter it in pencil first!
- Finish your final piece in ink!
BONUS CHALLENGE
If you complete the challenge or want to take a break and try something different, letter a word starting with each letter of the alphabet!
