Hello, friends!

Our recently-launched Citrine pattern pairs beautifully with my other patterns, like Cleo and Trillium, and Ruby, and today I want to show you my friend Amy’s fun Citrine outfits that she brought to the studio last month for a Citrine shoot. Amy sewed all of these pieces herself and I love how perfectly they coordinate together to create a mini-Citrine capsule wardrobe - they look like they were designed to be worn together!

Amy (@modernpearlco) made her Citrine out of a gorgeous black french terry knit fleece from Seams – our local-ish indie sewing shop about an hour away in Lansing – using view b of the pattern (balloon sleeves, gathered waist) with the darted front.

Take a look at what she's wearing it with…

The charcoal and deep blue colors of Amy's lengthened Trillium maxi dress pair so well with the black cardigan to create a really sophisticated combo. Citrine can really dress up when you need it to!

Amy paired her Citrine with a delightful Ruby top that she created out of a black & white batik (from Haberman’s - also Michigan-based) and a shirt-weight Manchester cotton in Titanium from Seams.

This Cleo Skirt that Amy made from Charley Harper Barkcloth (sourced, of course, from Seams) this summer for a wedding is absolutely stunning. Along with her Citrine, a ready-to-wear tank top and her Duckfeet boots, she’s created a head-turning ensemble that is totally chic.

I've rounded up all of Amy's outfits in a post on my blog, where you can find more photos and details on each outfit, pattern notes, and Amy's second Citrine!

You can follow along with Amy’s sewing adventures on her Instagram account, @modernpearlco.
