👉 Let go of what you cannot control
The sooner we stop resisting, the sooner we reclaim our energy and ability to adapt. Surrender the need for control.
👉 Look for the positive
Positive reframing is everything. Try to see the lesson embedded in the situation. Even when we deal with ostensibly challenging situations: like freezing in ice water, running in the hot sun for 26 miles, or building a company when we have no idea if it will turn out… All of these are situations that could be labeled a horrible, terrible torture OR a challenge that shows us just how strong we are. Mindset is the difference between an obstacle and a challenge.
👉 Stay present
When we look at the end goal and realize just how far we have to go, staying present will help you focus on the ONE next step you can do right now. It allows you to enjoy the unfolding of your goals, rather than stress trying to control the destination. Remember, it's always better to think about what you want and why you want it, than to focus too much on the “how”. The “how” always works out, but you do need to trust. Trust that the right time, place, person and opportunity will unfold, as long as you're present enough to act on it.
