We are so excited for this NEW annual event coming to Winnsboro this Spring. As many of you know Winnsboro is packed with events throughout the Fall and Winter, but then come Spring there isn't any big events going on. So we are so excited to be apart of The Modern Country Art Gallery's First Annual Bloom Event

We at the 5C Home Store will be competing in the BLOOM Tournament of Windows. We will be showcasing our floral design side of 5C Custom Creations to bring you a beautiful window display, as well as show you what we here at 5C can do when it comes to floral design.

-By attending one of your Jolie Classes it opens up the communication window to ask any and all questions you may have about painting during and after the class. 
-You get a chance to play with colors and really get a feel of things before purchasing paints on your own.

Thinking about planting a garden this spring?
Lets talk about a few factors and tips to keep in mind! 
Like when is the best time to start planting?
 
The best time to plant a garden depends on several factors, including your location and the type of plants you want to grow. In general, most vegetables and herbs are best planted in the spring after the last frost has passed and the soil has warmed up. This is typically between late March and early June, depending on your geographic location. However, some plants, such as cool-season vegetables like peas and kale, can be planted earlier in the spring. On the other hand, warm-season crops like tomatoes and peppers are typically planted in late spring or early summer when the soil and air temperatures are warmer. It's important to research the specific planting times for the plants you want to grow in your area and to consult a local gardening expert or agricultural extension office for guidance.

MODERN COUNTRY SPRING 
BLOOM EVENT
 
BLOOM will be an immersive floral art experience for all of the senses. An art exhibit of over 30 artists from around the country creating floral art of all mediums including a fresh floral installation of sculpture and still life assemblages. 
 
This exhibit is a tribute to all of the loved ones we lost last year and a celebration of new life we will experience in the year to come.  
 
In addition to the art exhibit, 
attendees will be asked to take their ticket stubs and walk around downtown and vote for their favorite business window or storefront display
 
There are 30 downtown businesses competing in the 
BLOOM Tournament of Windows
 for cash prizes and bragging rights.

Amy's Story
She was raised in Winnsboro, only leaving long enough to pursue a degree in nursing. She worked as an RN for 29 years and her husband, John taught in Winnsboro for over 20 years. The Gearner family actually settled in Winnsboro over a century ago! Many past Gearner family members were business owners in Winnsboro. They chose to stay in Winnsboro and raise their family here because it's the best place in Texas!

She purchased Main Street Antiques in 2019 followed by Beauweevil’s in 2021. Both stores have been opened over a decade, with Main Street Antiques being an antique store in Winnsboro for more than 35 year

There are continuous changes in most booths throughout the store and with over 4000 sq feet to shop, it is hard to see it all in one visit.
