Effective April 14, Dr. Melanie Schwitters will be leaving our group to pursue a new adventure! Her presence at our practice will be sorely missed and we thank her for all she has done to better and grow the care we provide our patients. Please join us as we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

 

For the last two years, it has been my greatest joy and honor to serve you and your family members. After much thoughtful consideration, I regret to inform you that I will be departing from Schofield Chiropractic Group on April 14th. I truly regret that I was not able to share this news with every patient personally. This decision has not come easily, but as a mom of two littles and a pediatric practitioner, I am thrilled for the opportunity to spend the next season of life at home with my kids.

 

Over the past month or two, the emotions regarding this change have become real. While I am looking forward to new challenges, it's bittersweet to think about leaving my fellow providers, staff, and patients. I have sincerely appreciated the opportunity to care for you and become a part of your lives. These relationships are why I went into chiropractic medicine, and they will be missed.

 

Prior to my departure, I am pleased to announce we have a new chiropractor on staff at the clinic. Dr Lauren Block is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, originally from Tripoli, IA, and is looking forward to serving the Cedar Valley. Dr. Block has a passion for prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care and is additionally Webster certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She will be more than capable of delivering effective and personal care based on your needs.

 

I want to assure you that your care is in very skilled hands within the practice. All of our doctors are graduates of Palmer College of Chiropractic, which means they all practice under the same research-based methodologies. For optimal progression in treatment plans, it’s important that visits remain consistent, so please continue treatment with Dr. Block after my departure. We don’t want a missed appointment to become a set-back in your or your loved one’s health journey! Over the next several weeks I will introduce you to Dr. Block, review your history with her, and ensure a smooth transition.

 

Again, I would like to personally thank each of you for supporting and trusting me with your care. Though I am saying a goodbye with a heavy heart, I am confident that Schofield Chiropractic Group will continue offering you outstanding care and treatment.

If you are a patient of Dr. Ebert, we want to remind you that following his retirement on April 28, your care will be transitioning to Dr. Conrad Bush, unless you have indicated you wish to see another doctor in our group. If you have not yet met Dr. Bush, Dr. Ebert will make an introduction at your next visit, and together you can review your health history and treatment plan.

We are pleased to announce that Lauren Block has joined Schofield Chiropractic Group as an Associate Doctor of Chiropractic.

 

Dr. Block is from Tripoli, Iowa and completed her undergraduate work in 2019 at Clarke University in Dubuque. Most recently she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport where she was trained in traditional chiropractic care including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson Drop, Activator, and other low force therapies. 

Dr. Block is certified in the Webster Technique, which is specifically designed to care for the pregnant mother. She is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and has a passion for caring for women through all stages of life including pregnancy and babies.
