April  2023 vol. 2

We hope you all had a blessed Easter weekend with your families.  Unfortunately, Molly and I were unable to share it with one another.  She spent the week in Missouri helping our son get his family moved into their new home at Ft Leonard Wood.  They’ve recently made the move from Fort Bragg and needed a hand keeping our two grandsons entertained and distracted and getting the house put together.

I had planned on preparing for the upcoming Farm Tour during the week Molly was away, but the rain has been putting a damper on my progress. We’re hoping to get caught up this week but ask for a bit of grace if it’s not as picturesque as you may have imagined. Real working farms are rarely as picturesque as depicted in movies or documentaries. While those farms may be beautiful and impressive, they require a large staff to maintain. Here at Amber Oaks Ranch, it’s just Molly and myself.  No gardeners or ranch hands – just the two of us pouring our hearts out to build our own little slice of heaven.
Events like our Farm Tour wouldn’t be possible without the generous help from our friends, family, and farming community. From preparing the farm for the event to handling parking logistics, meal service, and running the farm store, we simply couldn't do it without the help of our generous friends.  Family and community are at the heart of what we do and we’re glad you’ve chosen to be a part of our journey.
Because we’re behind schedule, this week’s Newsletter will be quite abbreviated so we can try to get some semblance of order to our chaos.  We are very excited to have you come to visit us.  Educating our community on where food comes from and how we implement technics in an effort to be good stewards of the land is of prime importance to us.

If you haven’t done some, please register immediately.  We will be closing down the Order Form on Wednesday (4/12) at noon so we can turn in a final headcount to the caterer.

God bless you all.  See you soon.
