In an effort to simplify our relationship with food and the daily act of eating, we've simultaneously stripped food of important nuance and meaning. Like life, food isn't black or white; good or bad. But from a health standpoint, many of us get fixated on the premise that to some extent it is. IMO, this is where things get interesting. When shared with someone you love, in a fleeting moment in time, whether in celebration, comfort, or plain old connection, any food can be a nourishing food.
