Monday Motivation For Real People
with Real Goals and Busy Lives
Hi First name / friend

food for thought
Overly preoccupied by the composition and calorie count of the foods we eat, most of us don't stop to think about food as memory or creating memories over meals. For this week, I invite you to slow it down and bring a bit more mindfulness to the meals you eat, make and share. Set the table, light a candle, and remove any unwanted distractions like phones, tablets and TVs. Come back to the single-pointed focus of only eating. Take a moment to set an intention for your meal and imbue your food with nourishing goodness. Though this might seem like a lot, it really doesn't take too much extra effort at all. It's really just slowing down, getting present and eating with intention. As with anything, it's what you make it. Might as well make it mean something.
