In the month of Ramadan, the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, with clear messages giving guidance and distinguishing between right and wrong. So any of you present that month should fast, and anyone who is ill or on a journey should make up for the lost days by fasting on other days later. God wants ease for you, not hardship. He wants you to complete the prescribed period and glorify Him for guiding you, so that you may be thankful.

{Surah Baqara:185}

Alhamdulilah, all praise is due to Allah, who allowed us to experience the blessed month of Ramadan. We ask Allah, as he allowed us to fast, pray, give charity, and do other good things in the month of Ramadan, that He accepts all of our righteous actions and allows us to be consistent with these actions after the month of Ramadan. Eid is a day to celebrate and rejoice in the blessings of Allah. Enjoy your Eid and make dua for everyone. Many people are asking about the ruling of Jummah if Eid falls on Friday. Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of Eid-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet used to eat an odd number of dates.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assalamu Alaikum Alhamdulillah, 

 

We were blessed to have record participation at all three ICN locations during the whole month of Ramadan where a  thousand musallees were able to pray daily salah and taraweeh, participate in qiyams, itekaf, seminars, khatiras, iftar, suhoor, community service projects and much more. It is truly the blessing of Allah SWT, the dedication of our shuyookh, our staff, huffaz, and many volunteers who spent countless hours to make this happen. May Allah SWT grant the best of rewards and accept all our siyam, qiyam, ibadah and duas.

 

As our community continues to grow at a rapid pace, we need to constantly expand our space, resources and facilities to meet this growing demand - which is why we had to appeal to the community multiple times during the entire month for donations for various causes to support this growth. We know that sometimes, it must have felt overwhelming but we really appreciate the community's patience and support.

 

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share that our fundraising efforts for various projects were successful - thanks to the generosity of all of you, our dear community members.

ICN has recently created the Human Capital Development sub-committee. One of its core mandate is human capital development of ICN’s volunteers & staff. We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
