📌 Top tips to avoid a revision request We've put together a list of the most common reasons that Lemon8 content submissions have required revisions. If you follow through this guide, you will be sure to increase the likelihood of content being submitted without any revisions! Captions - Copy being too short. Please ensure the minimum number of words is included in the written caption before submitting. Caption title and hashtags do not count towards the word count.
- Captions submitted with text all grouped in one paragraph. Please space out the text, 🔗here is an example
- Please add brand name, product name, price of items written into the caption, when doing a product review, outfit/product breakdown, styling guide, etc

Photos - Do not use the same (or similar) photo multiple times. All of the 3 submitted photos should be completely different from each other
- Photo quality should be clear, well-lit, with strong composure. We'd love to see the same beautiful quality photo content as you feature on your social feeds 💕

Posts - Posts should be educational/with an informative component. Try to think about what is the goal of the post? What can I teach my audience? Similarly to TikTok, the goal of the Lemon8 app is to allow creators with the freedom to express themselves fully and creatively, while also providing your audience with something they can learn from/get educated on. Unlike a lot of Instagram content, Lemon8 is not just focusing on aesthetics or entertainment, the education provided in each post is critical
- Avoid adding cutouts onto a solid color or pattern background image, and preference for cutouts is using the natural background from the original photo

Cover Photos - Covers should match Lemon8 style editing found in the guides shared. Please avoid covers that are too simple or have only minimal editing. Lemon8 is looking for creative/fun/edited cover photos
- Covers should make clear what your post is about, 📌rule of thumb: you should be able to tell what your post is about just from reading the cover title/viewing the cover photos

Fashion Posts - Posts featuring one-outfit are not approved unless the follow the “Aspirational” post requirements: the outfit is shown being worn out at a location/event/dining/travel. Another option for when doing a single look post, it will be a detailed review of the items - Closeups of the items and differentiating the picture angles to make more interesting and informative

- Outfit styles should match the desired outfit aesthetics, currently Lemon8 would like to focus on crisp/chic/tailored style looks, ex: ✔️ Minimalist chic, Formal, Semi-formal/business casual, Classy & elegant, Elevated "city girl" athlesiure, Parisian.
- Casual outfits and comfy/cozy apparel are not approved styles. Please also keep an eye out for ensuring items are not wrinkled.
- Copyright material, including art. We are required to ensure content submitted is original work and taking photos in an art museum, for example, may pose a problem if the art is copyrighted

Beauty Posts - Photos with cutouts of product photos from retailer websites, We are required to ensure content submitted is original work. If you'd like to include cutouts of product packaging, please use photos you have personally taken
- Please do not repeat the same photo more than once, a post with a photo of the product on your face/skin, one of the packaging, one close up macro or texture shot, etc is a good mix of photo types. We'd like to avoid posts where there are 3 similar photos of the creator with the product applied, unless it is a step by step guide, so each photo is a different step

Labeling - Labels should be added on almost all posts, when in doubt, add labels.
- Please make sure Lemon8 watermark is not covering any of the item labels
- Please add brand names and style/product names for all items in a photo. Where it makes sense, please also add pricing labels
