Hey, First name / friends!
This week is all about color! Color exploration can be really fun, but it can also be a little daunting! With a seemingly endless amount of colors to choose from, sometimes it’s hard to know what combination to go for.

Decision fatigue is real when it comes to choosing color palettes, but today I’m going to take the decision-making part off your plate! I don’t want color analysis paralysis to keep you from creating!

Pastel Peppermint Color Palette
Your #CreateWithCatCoq challenge this week is to create a piece (or recolor an existing one) with this Pastel Peppermint color palette! I thought it was a fun Spring-like palette for any seasonal artwork you may be creating. And it also has some unexpected hues to help you push the boundaries a bit!

This color palette is my gift to you to use royalty-free in your artwork. You can download it as a jpg or Procreate swatch below. The Procreate swatch file will load right into your Procreate color palettes when you open it on your iPad!

Share your work on Instagram with the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq so I can see what you make! I love seeing the hashtag filled with different illustrations in the same color story. This is going to be a fun one!

This color palette is one of the eight free palettes offered to students of my class, Floral Animals in Procreate. If you want to learn more about color palettes and alterations in Procreate, this class is a great place to start!

In addition to learning color techniques, you’ll also learn how to create a professional-level illustration right on your iPad step-by-step.

My Productivity Tips for Artists

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed with all the non-art tasks that come with being an artist like uploading artwork to print on demand sites, the pressure to show up on social media, negotiating contracts, pitching your portfolio, etc. etc. etc.
