The first to apologize, is the bravest
The first to forgive, is the strongest
The first to forget, is the happiest

In my experience, there is a direct correlation between the willingness to forgive and the happiness in a relationship. When two imperfect people are willing to come together in their imperfectness, intimacy and love can grow.

April is anniversary month for me and the Hubs. We sat down on the podcast (going live April 27th) and walked through this relationship check-in I pulled together. I hope you’ll download it and sit down intentionally with the one you love.

Spring wardrobe refresh
Hot take: Amazing linen jacket from Old Navy. Fits like a $300 jacket with a $60 price-tag. I went shopping with my sister-in-laws, and we all bought it. Great fit.
  • Wear it over a sundress
  • Throw over a tank with distressed jeans and sneakers
  • Pair with some cute shorts (can buy matching set for a fun vibe)
Sizing is pretty true, I got a Medium.

10 minute prep, Powerballs on repeat

I constantly need to be feeding kids in a rush - and I hate grabbing takeout. These powerballs have been a lifesaver as they run to practice or get home late and need something before bed. They’re also my go-to drop off for new moms.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 TBSP chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup mini m&m’s or chocolate chips
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder
  • 3 TBSP honey (optional)
  • ¼ cup granola (optional) - makes them crunchy, which I like

Mix it all together in a bowl. I use a cookie baller like this one to make them uniform. I throw them on a cookie sheet in the freezer, covered with press-n-seal and we just grab them as needed.

I asked Peter Dunn aka “Pete the Planner” (now the CEO of Your Money Line) to join me on Scared Confident to gain some insight into common fears that often emerge as people talk about money and finances. But what I got was so much more.

Peter dove into his own fears of where he finds himself in life at this moment and the risks that it took to get here. Listen in on this enlightening conversation about having the courage to follow your heart and intuition to get to a newer version of yourself.
