Hi friends,

Eid Mubarak. I hope you are creating special memories and enjoying your morning coffee again. I have many vacation reflections that I would like to share with you but I will share them in a blog post later.

Meanwhile, enjoy the sparks I carefully crafted for you below 😊 and tell me your favorite.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️ a newsletter listing 5 insightful things I thought were worth starting your week with:

1. 🗓 If you are still not doing your weekly reviews (👈download my template) which I consider one of my most important habits, even more important than waking up early, then this article by Tim Urban might convince you: Your Life in Weeks. Loved this question: "Are you making the most of your weeks?".

2. 💡I hope you get to reclaim your evenings this week now that Ramadan is over. Here are 10 Things To Do In The Evening Instead Of Watching TV.

3. 📌 It might have been 3 or 4 years since I last accessed Pinterest, but an author I follow and my sister are talking about it again so I logged in to see what's happening there. It was fun to see how many nice pins I collected. Pinterest inspired my wedding theme and photos and any photoshoot I have had since. Enjoy Look Here For Inspiration, my own motivational board with more than 700 pins! You noticed my old profile picture?

4. 🏘 My friend is moving to a new house, and I thought of her when reading this beautiful blog post: What Do We Take With Us, and What Do We Leave Behind? Homage to the homes we love and leave. I only moved once, from my parents' house to my current house but found this to be so true and touching. I am glad my parents still live in our childhood house.

5. 💬 Below is a favorite quote that Jon Acuff said in the challenge I shared last week, which means we need to track our good habits and reflect on where we were and where we are now often to feel that we are moving forward. That's what happens every time my goals group and I do a monthly review, we realize we accomplished so much that we would have missed otherwise:

“Progress is found not received.”

Some cool resources I personally use, love and recommend, with discounts just for you:

  1. I like to start the day with my personalized Momentum Plus tab, which helps me stay focused with a powerful mantra, an inspiring image, a to-do list, countdowns to big dates, and world clocks where I keep an eye on time zones of friends and family living abroad before contacting them. Being a newsletter friend, you would get a special offer of a 10% discount when you subscribe to Momentum Plus with the promo code: bardees.
  2. Enjoy a free month of the Readwise app, it is the BEST way to retain the knowledge you gain through reading. Using spaced repetition, it helps you remember your highlights from kindle books/articles you read. I am in love with their new reader feature. Reading online has become a top-notch experience thanks to Reader. Get one month free using my link.
  3. I have been using Exist App for years as a digital journaling tool to track my mood in relation to my productivity and health choices. Try it out.
  4. I use Rescuetime to track my digital productivity. Rescuetime tells me how much I spend on email, Excel sheets, meetings, and nonwork activities. I have been a happy client since 2014.

Note: some of the links above may be affiliate links, but always keep in mind that I don’t endorse anything I don’t use and love myself.

See you next Sunday First name / my dear friend!

Have a Brilliant Week!
