You can think of your (future) website as a tool for making money but what if you viewed it as… … your very own slice of cyberspace, a canvas for your creativity, a virtual extension of yourself.
… the online equivalent of the ultimate hangout spot, complete with virtual couches and an endless supply of digital snacks that entices people to visit time and time again.
… your online HQ where all roads lead, and all clicks converge.
All at once. Then, my friend, a whole new world just opened up to you. |

Join us as we delve into the pitfalls of the mainstream approach of treating websites as mere revenue generators and discover how we can create a more fulfilling experience for your audience, your artistic spirit, AND your financial well-being. Because these things aren’t mutually exclusive – they're intertwined. |

Of course, the conversation needs to start with our collective love-hate relationship: TikTok. As soon as this “little” app started eating away at our attention spans (to now clock in at less than that of a goldfish at 8 seconds vs. 9 👀), panic set in and a big chunk of the business world started stripping away “the excess”, even more so than before. This “cutting to the chase” seems like a logical move until you realise that “the excess” is what makes brands interesting. Removing all the not-so-strictly-sales-focused-elements is like serving food without any seasoning or removing character development and backstories in a movie - you may still get the basic sustenance, but you'll miss out on the nuances and flavours that make it truly enjoyable and memorable. |

Your website is like a living organism, with every element serving a specific purpose that contributes to its overall health. Just like in the human body, where each cell and organ plays a role in maintaining a healthy system, the small touches on your website should work together to create an immersive experience. Although a playlist or a fun animation may not necessarily lead to conversions in the strict sense, it’s details like this that make your brand lovable. And just like in the body, where neglecting one part can cause a chain reaction of problems, omitting these small touches can have a detrimental effect on your website's overall effectiveness. |

Count on emotions more than numbers |
|
In our books, brand building is not a game of quick wins, but a journey towards forging a lasting impression that transcends immediate sales figures and metrics. It involves cultivating an emotional bond with your audience, a representation of your vision, and a reflection of the values that your business upholds. It's about laying a foundation of trust, loyalty, and positive perception that may not necessarily be quantifiable in the short run but surely underpins your long-term success. In the worst case, removing the “unnecessary” not only makes your website bland but causes people to quickly click out because they’re either bored out of their minds or because they don’t resonate (or both). Gone are the days when dull selling practices worked. Emotions, however, still reign supreme in the world of sales, with studies suggesting that up to 95% of our purchasing decisions are made on a subconscious level. With this information… |
