First name / Friend,

Happy Saturday.

This month you're getting a different kind of Coaching Corner message.

Normally, I send this newsletter out during the third week of the month (two weeks after The Monthly Digest). And here we are on the second to the last day of April.

But this hasn't been a normal month for me. Between travel, a full client load, and facilitating The Kindness Challenge with 87 people, there's been a lot going on.

I've also been dealing with a personal circumstance that is pretty heavy. Everything is okay, but it's a lot to process (don't worry - I am still getting married to my wonderful life partner in June).

I'll be sharing about my news with this group first in a future issue of the Coaching Corner because you are my favorite humans on this planet who I trust the most.

And I have a feeling it will be one of the most important messages I have ever written. But I need to process things on my end first in order to arrive at a place where I can share with you in a meaningful way.

This month has made me re-learn the importance of practicing self-compassion and bending my rules when it's needed in order to maintain my inner peace - especially when it's not a big deal to bend the rules in the first place.

So here I am on a Saturday, with a fun and simple offering for you: WEEKEND JOURNAL PROMPTS.

Your challenge is to choose and complete one prompt and reply to this email with what you discovered:

1 - Think about the topic of self-compassion, and what it's looking like for you these days. Then write down one area of your life where you are beating yourself up, striving for something unattainable, or need to give yourself more grace. Then journal about small steps you could take to practice self-compassion when that thing or circumstance surfaces.

2 - So often, we have a tendency to “should” all over ourselves when it comes to how we spend our time. Instead of asking ourselves what we actually want to do, we do what we think will please others or look good to the outside world. Set a timer for 5 minutes and write down everything that is bringing you true JOY in your life right now. After the five minutes, circle three of those things that you want to do this weekend. Have fun and go spark joy in a way that honors your needs.

3 - In the April issue of the Monthly Digest, we spoke about using the spring season to spark new beginnings. The spring season is a time to get curious about taking our work and lives to the next level, and focus on what is inspiring you. If you missed the coaching nugget, give it a quick read and then write down what you want the remainder of the spring season to be for you. What are your two most important priorities? Consider taking action on one of the 7 ideas to spark new beginnings.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend of reflection and investing in YOU.
love,
