The last time we chatted, I was up to my elbows with birthday/assorted celebration cake requests and I'm happy to report I've survived another year of May events. We capped it all off with a mud run this past weekend (which I walked and skirted all manner of mud because I don't want the great outdoors soggy and squelching in my shoes) and now I'm in desperate need of a gloriously long weekend to recover from it all.

What I'm reading: I hate to admit that I'm still making my way through The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez but it's not because the book isn't awesome. It is! But I've been very deep into work on Shucked--coming this summer! cover and synopsis to come soon!--and haven't had the focus to tune in to anything other than this cast of characters.
