Hello First name / friend,

I would like to introduce you to Jenny Webster, who has become an ambassador for the Senegal Health Institute!

Jenny and I met in 2014 at one of our SHI fundraisers in Carmel, California; it was at that fundraiser that I discovered Jenny and I had Senegal in common–not only did she live on the Monterey Peninsula, where I am from, but she also lived in a village just 20 minutes from me, in Senegal. What are the chances of that!

Since then, Jenny has also been a consistent donor, naturally sharing information about the work the Senegal Health Institute does for women and girls with friends, family, colleagues, etc.—Jenny has created a community of SHI supporters, as a result of her advocacy and belief in our mission.

Most recently, Jenny started a business called One Woman, Two Fires in which she turns repurposed T-shirts and clothing into beautiful works of art by sewing African fabrics on to them, and donates the proceeds to the Senegal Health Institute. On any given week, you can see her at the Farmer's Markets in Marina, Monterey and Pacific Grove, California.

In addition to the proceeds of her clothing going to SHI, Jenny has also done fundraisers on Facebook and helped us build up our email list. Most recently, the Monterey County Weekly featured a story on Jenny’s One Woman, Two Fires clothing business and how it’s aiding Senegal. Jenny has put a lot of time and effort into supporting us and we are incredibly proud and grateful to her for all she does!
