Since the last Moonsletter, there’s been a softening at the corners. Greening and blooming round out the streets and skylines. Spring compliments the Earth, and she blushes with fresh and fragrant flora. The air itself seems to hold more weight, more presence. Perhaps it’s just the humidity; but even so, we attune our movement and action to accommodate this fuzzy atmospheric character with whom we share space.
The body recognizes the way of ease more often than the mind. It has no problem finding rhythm in the natural world. Mercury retrograde is slowing the pace like someone dragging the rotation of a turntable. The fanfare of Aries season is now the smooth jazz horn of Taurus. Wouldn’t it be so fitting to just lay back in a garden and listen to the birthing of leaves?
And yet…
We’re in a numinous time. You may notice “branches,” opportunities or situations, that echo past experiences but offer a new alternative. There may be choppy days, where we are seeking stability and security, but new information or sudden changes can shake our foundations. Specifically, you might be noticing unexpected shifts within your own creativity, or creative alternatives to a situation you hadn’t seen before. Taking a leap of faith on these options could send you into a whole new timeline, a whole new way of experiencing and being.
Over this current lunation, we’ve shifted from the new moons in the beginning of a zodiac season—heralding new beginnings all around; to the new moons at the end of the zodiac season—underscoring what will be threaded through into the next month, the next year. Today’s Full Moon in Scorpio is a lunar eclipse and the last eclipse of the nodal season on the Taurus/Scorpio axis. As we close out this Taurus/Scorpio nodal axis, we will be offered a chance to mend tattered narratives and potentially heal old wounds about resources, ownership, and exchange with the wisdom we’ve gained since January 2022. For a deeper dive, check out which houses are ruled by Taurus and Scorpio in your chart. These are the areas in your life which have likely encountered the most transformation over the last 14 months.
The nodal axis will shift into Aries/Libra on July 17. So from this lunar eclipse until then, we have the opportunity to tie up any loose ends, make any necessary pivots, and fully commit to the new narrative we’ve been writing for ourselves. Take not only the time, but the physical space to assess what you’d like to mend and what you can leave behind.
—Full Moon in Scorpio—
The Full Moon in Scorpio is one of my favorites. It’s usually the first warm-weather, windows-open-all-night-full moon. And for whatever reason, the turning of the wheel of time feels especially potent when I remember that six months prior, I was preparing for the seasonal hunker-down. But most of all, the Full Moon in Scorpio reminds me that there is an inextricable connection between the beauty of new life and the transformative power of the underworld.
We’re all pretty familiar with the myth of Persephone and Hades. Traditionally the narrative goes something along the lines of Hades the banished God of the Underworld stole Persephone the lesser goddess of the Spring, and keeps her trapped down there for some time out of the year until the one chunk of time that she’s allowed to come above and visit her mother. Which serves as a mildly cautionary tale to not take pomegranates from strangers. However, more recent mythologists have suggested alternative, or at least more nuanced interpretations of the tale. These interpretations allude to a love story between a dark and transformative force necessary for the birth of something beautiful. And it is during the blossoming springtime season of Taurus that we have a full moon in Scorpio, nodding to the things under the surface that can fuel growth, change, and rebirth.
Today’s Full Moon in Scorpio will drive the emotional need for depth and a desire for meaning. Especially after the last few weeks of topsy-turvy energy, we are seeking to unearth, to get to the bottom of how we feel. With the Moon in a loose opposition to Uranus, this could also come with some sudden changes, new information or even radical thinking. Do not forget to exhale. Let it out.
It’s a full moon, which means that nothing needs to be set in stone just yet. Allow yourself to receive what is being illuminated for you, and to feel all of your feelings about it. (Always, but especially now!)
Venus will be sextile Jupiter and square Neptune. So, while this could offer some charming and flirtatious energy, it could easily become love-bombing or lead to a complicated romantic situation. Spiritual Neptune can make things seem veiled from our view and when in tension with Venus, could lend a heaviness to romantic connections or the possibility that things may not be what they seem. Take these energies with a grain of salt. Use them for informational purposes, rather than impetus for action.
FOR THE BODY
Scorpio rules the sex organs, the genitals, the pubic bone, the pelvic floor and the anus.
â—¦
As it is also Taurus season, and the sign of Taurus corresponds with pleasure, treat yourself to a new toy or pleasure product! Maybe try something a little out of your comfort zone, or go for the fanciest one on the shelf.
â—¦
Take the time to get familiar with your own parts! Our genitals can be foreign or even triggering, but they are simply just tissue. If you are unhappy with or ashamed of your genitals, there are lots of therapists who specialize in sex and pleasure, as well as body dysmorphia, who can help you come to an empowered place or make the changes you want to feel at home in your body. ♥️
â—¦
Make the appointment with a urologist, gynecologist, and or proctologist to get your routine check up!
â—¦
Cook with Basil and Horseradish. Horseradish can not only aid digestion and metabolism, but it is naturally antibacterial, clears mucus, and can boost your circulation.
â—¦
Work with labradorite to aid digestion and clear negative energy, bloodstone to support your circulation and to ground you, as well as peridot to balance emotions and stimulate your creativity.

—Pluto Retrograde—
Earlier this year on March 23, Pluto entered the sign of Aquarius. Since then, we have been gifted a preview of what will be collectively important or challenged to transform and specifically in the areas of community direction and engagement. Pluto has a profound effect on our collective consciousness, and after being in Capricorn for the last 15 years, the shift into progressive Aquarius is already being felt. Pluto stationed retrograde on May 1 and won’t move direct until Oct 11, 2023. During this period, we will see it transit back into the sign of Capricorn in June, and perhaps some major replays of what feel like familiar world or cultural events. The power struggles are becoming louder, and the old institutions are being challenged to transform or be obliterated.
Will a new world order be born?!
I dunno about that. But I do know that we have the opportunity to set a collective stage for change by looking ahead, not behind. From where we stand today, what are the elements that will nourish a future world? That is what deserves our attention and our energy.
—From whence we came…—
I was reviewing the New Moonsletter in Scorpio from last October and I remembered just how much I liked the opening, so I thought I'd re-share it here.
I don’t think of you, or any of my readers as someone who needs to be “converted” or “hooked.” I love that you are a sovereign being, capable of building the world you’d like to see regardless of how I fit into that. I just love that we meet here, together.
As always First name / my dear friend, I hope that this resonated with you and I am so excited to share more about what's to come. I'm happy to answer any questions via email or DM (@honoredbody). If you want to share the Moonsletter with others, feel free to pass it along! And if you're reading this and you haven't signed up, join here!
