Does anyone else feel like this year is moving at lightning-quick speed? I blink and another week has gone by…then a month…and then…well, you get the idea.

Someone once told me that the days are long, but the years pass quickly. They were talking about kids growing up, but I think it's applicable now-a-days too.

Speaking of kids growing up, I took the girls to the high school the other day for transition meetings. I'm not sure if I've ever shared that both of them are special needs so with their specialized school plans, the new teachers wanted to meet them and discuss the best way to move from middle school to high school. High school! My babies are going to high school! 

I. AM. NOT. READY.

Because I know now they'll be seniors and graduating high school tomorrow. They'll continue to grow up. Which is amazing given their precarious entry into the world. Born at 24 weeks (about 4 months too early), they weighed 1 lb, 4 ounces and 14.5 ounces. They are my miracles. My million dollar babies and they are growing up WAY TOO FAST!

Sawyer and Evie's book (AKA Soldier for the Starling) is officially off to the editors. Y'all, I have to admit, I was a little worried about getting their book finished. This one has by far taken me the longest to write out of all the books I've written. It's a sort-of new world (Sawyer is Michaela's older brother from Embracing the Beat), a new trope in romantic suspense, and drafted after a series of six books in eighteen months and a stroke. I already have a couple of ideas for the next books in the series, so those will be percolating as I go through the editing process.
