Thank you to everyone who supported the spring 2023 Conservation Tree Sale! We are already preparing for the fall sale, which will begin September 1st. For those who did order, keep your eye out for a follow up survey with tree-care resources later this month.
On Earth Day, our staff helped give away dozens of native trees as replacements for Callery pear. Deep Roots KC is responsible for organizing the buy-back events and Evergy sponsored the native tree replacements on the Kansas side! The final buy-back will be on May 20th, which has already sold out. It is the collaboration of all our partners and cooperation from community members that allowed native trees to take the place of invasive species this spring!
At the end of the month, we were able to help recognize the Kansas Arbor Day poster contest winner and join the Governor for a tree planting at the capital with our friends at the Kansas Arborist Association. Learn more below!
