Hi friends! Rooted Compassion is Ohio’s leading practice for therapy, training, and consultation through the lens of the nervous system and the Polyvagal Theory.
Our nervous system is the foundation of our emotional well-being, even more so than our thoughts, behaviors, emotions and brains.
Ohio therapist, Megan Kopack, shares the relationship between Polyvagal Theory and Therapeutic Yoga in Part 4 of her blog series: Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga.
This group offers support in exploring identity, relationships and how to keep your head above water through connection, support and fun. For more information and a complimentary consultation with one of the group leaders to learn if this group is a good fit for your teenager, please contact Rooted Compassion at admin@rootedcompassion.com
Rooted Compassion is excited to offer this incredible opportunity to help those struggling with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, PTSD, ADHD. If you are looking for a tool to help you reset your nervous system, the Safe and Sound Protocol may be it.
We are now offering at-home listening! Listen at home, at your own pace, in your own space. A trained facilitator will monitor your progress the whole way and make changes as necessary!
The SSP uses an auditory system (specially designed playlists) as a portal to the vagus nerve complex, which controls our physiological state. Once the physiological state is regulated, we can accelerate and enhance subsequent therapy.
You will have a trained facilitator with you every step of the way! As you move through the listening program, your facilitator will monitor your reactions and ensure to stop the listening if any negative reactions start. We move through the program slowly to allow your nervous system to lead.
