Dear First name / friend,
This email is rather bittersweet… Sadly, we will be closing our brick and mortar, E.O.F. Studio in Downtown Oakland. Arriving at this conclusion was extremely difficult. To be completely transparent, I went through a season of depression trying to sort out what was happening. I brought this beautiful space to life, knowing it was needed and would be a great addition to my community. I knew this thing was GOOD and would be a place of love, healing, creativity and offer a sense of safety and escape. E.O.F. Studio was necessary.
But, you know… sometimes some things just aren't meant to be and that is okay. At first I looked at myself as being a failure because I tried this thing and it didn't work. I felt a deep sense of responsibility to my family, my employee and myself. I thought I was letting everyone down. I was looking at this from one side, I blocked out all the amazing things E.O.F. Studio was able to bring to life including our many flowers workshops & collaborations with other DOPE ASS WOMEN business owners. We created a loving community of folks. We were that escape, even if it was just a few moments or a couple hours. I'm choosing to bask in those beautiful moments!
I thank you for allowing me to share this physical space with you. My heart will forever be filled with joy because you played a role in this vision coming to life.
With all that being said, here's what's next:
E.O.F. Closure Date: Our closure date is currently set for June, 30, 2023. Of course our goal is to get rid of everything, fixtures included. Items will be marked down for sale starting this week.
Esscents of Flowers: Esscents of Flowers will still operate as is with events. The pick up option for online orders will be postponed until further notice. We have to establish a new pickup location. Our cake + flower option will only be available for pick up option at the Two Chicks in the Box location in West Oakland.
We are in the process of trying to bring back our delivery option for East Bay locations only. Our goal is to work with Piikup, a Black Woman owned delivery company to help make this happen!
Thank you again for your all your support, I am truly grateful. I know that when one door closes, another opens. So, let's see what the future holds!!
