The Journey of a Shipping Container
-Week 4-
New Ship and New York!
 
The container is well on its way to us, via the MSC Korea that we talked about last time. Keep reading to learn more about this new container vessel and its progress!
 
The MSC Korea was built in 1996 and sails under the Panama flag.  It is 105’ wide and 900’ long, which means it can carry 1712 of our-size containers! That’s 13 miles of solid containers if laid end to end!  
 
We just landed at a port in New York City, right on time! However, we will not be offloaded in New York, we will continue south with the same ship towards our port…
