You should be scared
Hi First name / there

Have you ever heard of environmental toxins? It sounds a bit scary, and, well… that perspective might not be too far from the truth.

A few weeks ago, we sent out info on buying organic foods and what that really means.
One of the benefits of organic foods is that, due to their superior and safer production, they reduce our risk of exposure to environmental toxins.

But what are those toxins, and how do they impact our health?

Environmental toxins include mercury, lead, arsenic, formaldehyde, radon, and some molds and venoms. Some man-made environmental toxins include BPA, cigarette smoke, industrial pollution, pesticides, and plastic derivatives.

These toxins can be poisonous chemical compounds that disrupt our natural functions and lead to diseases like…

  • Cancer
  • Organ failure
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Immune system compromise
  • Reproductive issues
  • Reduced cognitive abilities
  • Endocrine system disruption

… to name a few.

While some environmental toxin exposure is unavoidable, do we want to put it in our bodies on purpose?

Choosing organic groceries is just one of the many ways we can take control of our body-fuel sources and reduce our level of toxic exposure.

For twenty years, Sandra Ingerman has studied alternative ways to reverse environmental pollution. In this book, Ingerman takes us on a remarkable journey through the history of transmutation, teaching us how we can use this forgotten technique to change ourselves and our environment. Sadly, the art of transmutation has been lost to many modern-day cultures. It was lost when we began to imbue science with the “power” to save us.

Organic Manifesto, Maria Rodale
Rodale sheds new light on the state of 21st century farming. She examines the unholy alliances that have formed between the chemical companies that produce fertilizer and genetically altered seeds, the agricultural educational system that is virtually subsidized by those same companies, and the government agencies in thrall to powerful lobbyists, all of which perpetuate dangerous farming practices and deliberate misconceptions about organic farming and foods.
