We are the co-owners of Ohana Fitness and Wellness! Ohana was created by us back in 2015 with the vision to help transform the way that fitness looks for women. We wanted our studio to feel like a breath of fresh air to our members and a place that they can go to meet new friends who are on the same journey. We wanted our clients to feel like more than just a number and our goal was to provide them with not only fitness classes, but the proper tools to enhance to improve their nutrition and mindset.

WHAT MAKES OHANA DIFFERENT?
We are so much more than just a fitness studio. One of the biggest things we pride ourselves on is our community we have built. We believe one of the most important things to focus on is surrounding yourself with positive people in an encouraging, uplifting environment.
You will feel the difference from the moment you walk through the doors. Our community is truly unlike any other in so many ways.
From the first smile and hello you get at the front desk, to the classmate that helps you get set up for your workout, you will feel like you truly belong.
WHY DID YOU NAME IT OHANA?
Many people ask why our studio was named Ohana. Well, it was actually from a dream believe it or not! haha… but we always have envisioned the studio being one giant family that can support each other through all stages of life. We are proud to say that our studio is a home away from home for so many and it truly is an Ohana (Ohana means family in hawaiian!).

Our mission is to help enhance your quality of life through fitness, nutrition and mindset development. Our focus is to build women from the inside out and empower her to be the best version of herself. Ohana is a place to escape the daily stressors in life and make yourself and your health a priority. We provide a safe space both online and in-studio that offers support and coaching through all stages of life.

We are north of 23 Mile Road on the Left Hand side just past Shelby Township Fire Department.
Whatever makes you most comfortable! We recommend something you will be comfortable getting a little sweaty in! Leggings, workout pants, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, even sweatpants! You don't need high fashion here, best bet is comfort always!
If you're attending a class at the studio, you don't need any equipment at all! Ohana provides equipment for participants even mats!
Online clients, it's always your best bet to have a variety of weights around including a light set, medium set, & heavy set of weights which ranges depending on your strength and fitness level. A good starting place for light is 3-5lbs, medium 6-12lbs, heavy 15-20lbs. Some equipment you might see in classes outside of weights are: a mat, ankle resistance bands/booty bands, pilates ball, resistance bands with handles, sliders, pillow
We pride ourselves on having a variety of personalities and styles on our team. At Ohana you'll experience some of the goofiest, fun loving & talented instructors around. (We know we're biased, but it's true!)
No matter what class you attend, each instructor is fully certified and trained to provide modifications for all fitness levels and stages of life. If you are wondering if you will be able to keep up, YOU WILL. We provide variations for each exercise to make sure you can safely and effectively complete the move! You can feel comfort in knowing that modifications will be there every step of the way for you!

These aren't necessarily the easiest classes on our schedule. We would rather say, these are great lower impact classes to start with!
Power Walk and Tone:
Walk, Sweat & Tone!
Lets get walking! What better way to get thousands of steps in without it even feeling like a workout! This no impact class uses upbeat music to ensure you stay motivated while optimizing your cardiovascular health! We also incorporate a short toning section that will not only help with muscle tone, but also can improve bone density as we age. Plus, it's fun!
Fitness walking is the aerobic sport of brisk, rhythmic walking, intended to improve cardiovascular efficiency, lower blood pressure, strengthen the heart, and meet the CDC's recommended step count.
Barre:
This class combines elements of dance, pilates and yoga. Exercises are high intensity and low impact, using fun and motivating music! There is an emphasis on toning the legs and butt, arms, as well as strengthening the core. All levels welcome! *Barre socks available for purchase if you don't own them. Sticky socks recommended for class!
Pilates:
Pilates is a type of exercise that focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness through controlled movements while improving postural alignment. *Barre socks available for purchase if you don't own them. Sticky socks recommended for class!
Revive:
Keep things low impact but feel so accomplished by attending this no-impact pilates-inspired class! By using a mix between pilates, barre and yoga we create a revitalizing workout that challenges both your mind and body. If you are looking to improve your flexibility, mobility, core strength, balance and mindset, this is for you! *Barre socks available for purchase if you don't own them. Sticky socks recommended for class!
Yoga:
Flow, stretch & let it go with this all levels sequence that will work on increasing flexibility and muscle tone while leaving you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and accomplished.
Pure Strength:
Learn how to weight train and develop muscle tone in this 45 minute strength class. This class will focus on a progressive series of exercises that focuses specifically on developing strength within arms, legs & core! No Cardio!
Core and Restore:
This class is a low impact core and flexibility workout for all fitness levels. It includes a mobility focused warmup, a core strengthening segment, a stability challenge, and finally flexibility stretching!
TLC:
TLC (Tone, Lengthen, Core)
Barre, Pilates, and isometric movements to Tone & Lengthen your muscles in this low impact, highly effective 45 minute workout for all fitness levels.
Functional Fitness:
Get stronger with strength and balance! This class focuses on the functional cardio movements and strength patterns designed to increase flexible strength for daily living activities.
Here are all the rest of our classes! They may not be labeled as “beginner” but remember, our staff is educated on how to provide modifications for any of the classes, so please don't let that steer you away from attending another type of class!
A3-Arms, Abs & Ass:
This interval style workout focuses on toning your Arms, Abs and A$$! We combine the perfect blend of strength training exercises while scorching calories with short-burst metabolic boosters for maximum results! All fitness levels welcome!
Arms & Abs:
Gain strength in your arms and core with various types of equipment!
Bootcamp:
A fun, upbeat circuit based class that focuses on improving endurance, strength, and core training within a series of 30-45 second stations. Don't be scared by the name, this class is fully modifiable for all fitness levels!
Butts & Guts:
This class focuses specifically on toning and strengthening the glutes, thighs and core leaving you with a stronger, leaner body!
Cardio Core:
Cardio Core puts your body through its paces testing your core and challenging your cardiovascular fitness.
Core Conditioning:
Focusing purely on strengthening your core , this class combines strength enhancing and muscle toning exercises with cardio, for non-stop hard work. Challenge yourself to tone and sculpt every muscle in your body as you sweat it out.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training):
This workout is the perfect blend of strength and endurance training. This quick but very effective class supersets 30 second strength intervals with 30 second cardio intervals for maximum fat burn!
Lower Body Burn:
A 45 minute circuit training class focusing on your lower body. Each circuit has two lower body strength based moves and one cardio move! Your booty will thank you!
Midsection Meltdown:
A low impact cardio core class specifically formulated for toning up your midsection while increasing endurance. This class will start with some energizing low impact cardio circuits followed by an endurance training abs section. We will then end with a final short burst of cardio.
Rage & Recover:
This class is a combination of stress relieving exercises that will get you sweating followed by a stretching and recovery section that will allow you to unwind and relax. Yes, we are going to slam some stuff, kick some stuff, listen to awesome music and laugh a lot!
Resistance Band Toning:
Resistance band toning provides variety to a routine workout and also allow for muscles to work concentrically and eccentrically—providing resistance during the ‘work phase’ and the ‘rest phase'. Challenge yourself with this new class, and get a new meaning to "feel the burn!"
SHRED:
High intensity circuit training class. Six 45-second intervals of resistance and strength training. Four 45-second intervals of cardio. Followed by two 1-minute intervals of core exercises. REPEAT! This class will remind you that you can do hard things!
Tabata:
Tabata training is one of the most popular and effective forms of high-intensity cardio training (HIIT). It consists of seven rounds of cardio based exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off sequence. It may only take four minutes to complete a Tabata circuit, but those four minutes may well push your body to its absolute limit.
Total Body Transformation
(TBT):
A fun, high energy circuit based class that focuses on improving endurance, strength, and core training within a series of 30-45 second stations.
Piloxing:
Piloxing combines pilates boxing and dance in a fast paced fun workout. Incorporating fundamentals of core strength, and lengthening exercises for the pilates portion, along
with the agility, power and endurance of boxing.
Pound:
SWEAT. SCULPT. ROCK. POUND® is the world’s first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums.
Pound Unplugged:
POUND Unplugged is a class that balances focused, high-intensity movements with restorative stretches, rhythmic breathing and meditation. Using exercise drumsticks, the workout guides participants through a deeply intentional, rhythmic journey designed to promote the health and fitness of the whole person – mental, physical, and emotional.
Turn Up:
These choreographed dance workouts are intense, fun, and life-changing, incorporating HIIT (high intensity interval training), strength training, and dance! You will be challenged, but you will embrace it, and as you step outside of your comfort zone!
Xtreme Hip Hop Step:
Xtreme Hip Hop is a high energy toning and cardio class using aerobic steps and a contemporary hip hop playlist.
