Flowers, Flowers Everywhere
Some artists, like myself, thrive on the explosion of color in the spring months. It's invigorating to watch things turn from grey-brown to a cacophony of greens, pinks, reds, violets, blues…this list of colors is endless. Yesterday I met up with some artist friends from NJ and PA at Chanticleer Gardens in Wayne, PA. I've lived in SE PA for 7 years now and this was my first visit to this incredible place. “How is it that I didn't go sooner”, I asked myself repeatedly! I've broken the spell and will now visit Chanticleer with passionate abandon, I promise.

I have a few events that are coming up worth mentioning. After that I am taking a brief respite over the summer to paint, create, visit the South Jersey shore, and in September I'm taking a workshop with Haidee Jo Summers in Santa Fe, TN at Bluebird Hill Retreat (can't wait!). I'm looking forward to having some time to think about new work and prepare for fall/winter shows.

How appropriate! “Flowers Inspire” will open tonight at the Square Pear Fine Art Gallery in Kennett Square, PA. I have 5 of my floral paintings in this show, most of them done plein air. So hope to see you tonight at the opening reception! It's a really beautiful show so if you're out and about visiting nearby Longwood Gardens or Winterthur, be sure to stop in and see the exhibit! The show runs through June 2023.

The Art Gallery at Devon
The Art Gallery at Devon opens next week, Thursday, May 25th and runs until Sunday, June 4th.  The show is “in-person” on the fairgrounds of the prestigious Devon Horse Show AND online, click here to sign up for online gallery access!

I'll have 11 paintings available ranging from cows to florals, in various sizes and perfect for your home. A portion of the sales proceeds benefits Bryn Mawr Hospital. Please take a look and even better check out the gallery in person, if possible. From their website, “The Devon Horse Show has been held in late May through early June in Devon, Pennsylvania since 1896. It is both the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse competition in the United States.”

It's an event not to be missed!

I've been published, again!
The Summer 2023 issue of Belle Armoire Magazine will hit the stands June 1st! This is the second time I've been a featured jewelry artist for this beautifully designed magazine. I was first approached by one of the editors in 2017 and was featured in the Winter issue. Then again in 2022 and viola! I explain how to use two applied gold techniques on fine silver to add a touch of elegance to a jewelry collection. I actually just finished teaching a one day workshop for keum-boo (applied gold using thin sheets of 24K gold and heat) and will be repeating this workshop in the Fall 2023 at Hattie Weselyk's studio in Kennett Square, PA.

Even though it is geared towards those artist working with jewelry, it's a treat for all eyes!

Have a wonderful summer! and thank you again and again for ALL your support!!

love, Amy
