Summery motifs like watermelon and other colorful fruits are not only fun to paint, they’re also strategic to include in your portfolio. If I’m ever stuck wondering what to paint, I always come back to thinking about surface design and popular products that my artwork could be placed on.
In the summer, stores are full of colorful tablecloths, beach towels, paper plates for outdoor entertaining, and so much more. Creating artwork with motifs that match those kinds of products is a great move when thinking about what kinds of seasonal artwork you should have in your portfolio.
So with that in mind, your challenge is to create a watermelon illustration! Share your watermelon on Instagram with the hashtag
#CreateWithCatCoq so I can see and share your work!
