Before I get into the chat, here's our May and a bit of April in pictures to show you what we've been up to⦠|

What we did last month⦠|
|
SO what's new with us? Well after pulling Ziggy out of nursery and then getting an influx of work we realized that we cannot do both at the same time. We can't be present and bring good parents to Ziggy whilst stressing about getting our work done. So, we've changed his nursery. We know that a certain amount of illness when starting a nursery is to be expected, but the nursery we were at was having staff off sick for WEEKS at a time, and we were constantly getting notifications about illness. We have since put Ziggy part time in a NEW nursery and SO FAR SO GOOD FROGS. The new nursery is much smaller and looks a lot cleaner and so far we are really impressed! We now have nursery days which are dedicated work days, and days where Ziggy is at home which are dedicated to HIM. Dare I say we are finally getting somewhere with the work/life balance?? We are feeling confident! |

Ziggy is currently going through a 2 year sleep regression (it happens AROUND 2 years old and can sometimes be to do with him learning.) It is BRUTAL and we have tried to keep a routine but he has been fighting naps and running around wanting to play at 10.30pm at night and we are shattered. It makes sense because he is suddenly talking so much and has started talking in sentences rather than just random words! So he can say "Hi Mum!" And "Good Morning Woody!" And "It's time for bed!" It's crazy how much he talks now. He has also started having tantrums if he doesn't get his own way... So it's time for Rose and to be a bit firmer with him. |
|
BUT despite the terrible sleep, the other night we did manage to snuggle up in bed together and watch Elvis while Ziggy slept in the other room, which was bliss. Frogs, what is SO funny is, I decided that I felt happy enough to leave Ziggy to sleep on his own and that I was going to sleep in bed with Rose again. Now, Rose is a light sleeper, I can sleep through anything. First, she couldn't sleep because of the baby monitor. Fair enough, it's quite noisy! Then she couldn't sleep because SHE SAID SHE COULD HEAR MY NOSE CLICKING?! It was a nightmare. She was up all night. So I'm back in the room with Ziggy Also, whenever I leave Ziggy, if he wakes up in the night he doesn't cry or call for Mum, he just STANDS BY THE DOOR SILENTLY LIKE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. So I am slightly worried that if I sleep in with Rose I won't know when he's awake and I will sleep through it!

We have lots of fun occasions coming up because every single person we know was born in the summer and almost all of our friends and family are Geminis it's my birthday, my friends birthdays, Roses birthday, our holiday to Kefalonia, Ziggy's birthday and a ton more birthdays! AND we're going to a summer wedding so we need new dresses again! We will get you guys to help us choose which ones! Rose's Potgang subscription I bought her for our anniversary is going STRONG and she is so proud to have grown everything from seed. Our basil smells AMAZING. I'm really looking forward to growing our own veggies and eating our own eggs! Speaking of the chickens, we got an update from the website saying there are some chickens to be rescued near us! BUT annoyingly you can only collect them while we are on holiday so we can't get them this time around. I have signed up to two rescue sites, so we will have them as soon as they are ready to be rescued!! We can't wait to take you on our chicken journey... We've already been thinking of names! You can help us name them! |
|
Finally my Brother and his fiance Rosy are visiting around my birthday from Romania, and our friends from Barcelona are coming to visit in August. We're going to book another visit with Linda and Sammy (as we started pooping ourselves last time and had to send them home!). AND I brought Rose to a NEW mummy group and we made loads of friends - and met another baby called Ziggy! She was a little girl, so cute! We also met a baby called Poem! And one called Dolly! These mum's have the best taste in names! Rose had an amazing time and asked me when we are going to the next session! |
|
Overall I feel the vibe is HIGH. Are you feeling that way frogs? I hope you are! I feel there is so much negativity in the news/online/everywhere that it is our job to try to feel as happy and positive as possible! I know that cna be difficult, I'm not saying it's easy. I hope our newsletter, Livestreams and videos can help you feel a bit happier and a bit more positive. Sending loving light to you my frogs! Xxx |

1. A court in Japan has ruled that not allowing same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. While it might not sound like a lot, it's actually quite a big deal. Let's see what happens next! 2. The absolute trans icon Dylan Mulvaney famous for her βday 365 of being a girlβ TikTok series keeps ignoring the haters and is now writing a book. How exciting! 3. Hundreds of trans youth met up to celebrate their own prom in Washington. This heartwarming event was organised after a trangender student from Mississippi was forced to miss her after being told to dress βlike a boyβ. The prom was a celebration but also a peaceful protest. β |

4. Mexican citizens will be able to put an βXβ in a gender category on their passports rather than simply choosing male or female. 5. Brokeback Mountain has arrived at West End! π |

Here are some things we've been absolutely loving this month! 01 / SOPH GALUSTIAN ON TIKTOK I am OBSESSED with Soph's impressions of a 'Tik Tok Lesbian' and I think this one of her as a nightclub bouncer is my favourite so far! https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJ9RoSgS/ 02 / LOVE AND PIES I actually have a spon coming up with these guys, but I am genuinely obsessed with this game. I'm not being paid to say this!! You match up the kitchen ingredients a bit like candy crush but then they BECOME OTHER INGREDIENTS so you match things up and make cakes and sell them! I minimized the apps on my phone recently but I always keep some games on my phone. I find if you have anxiety or are just a bit overwhelmed, focusing on a game REALLY soothes me. I also play Bubble Pop, Bingo, solitaire grand harvest (obsessed with this too) June's Journey and Dots. 03 / ELVIS (film) Rose and I were REALLY impressed with this movie! Rose loves the director Baz Luhrmann (who did Moulin Rouge!) And we just thought it was an incredible film! We never watched Rocket Man but after enjoying Elvis do much we might give it a go. Has anyone else seen it? 04 / THE LAST OF US Rose and I are starting this TONIGHT. I'm so excited. I really enjoyed the game but I never finished it which is good as it hasn't spoiled the show. Rose is still currently watching and loving Firefly Lane and I'm still enjoying Grey's but we've put those on pause so we can start this together! I have high hopes! No spoilers please! |

It's Taurus and then Gemini Season! I love Taurus energy and I have quite a few Taurus friends actually! Taurus energy is grounded which is something I need around me as an air sign Venus is Taurus's ruling planet ... Um JEALOUS. This makes Taurus great cooks, gardeners and lovers... This makes me wonder if Rose has Taurus in her the Taurus birthstone is EMERALD which is also my birthstone as it's the May birthstone. I love an Emerald! Emerald symbolizes spring, new beginnings, fertility and birth. Then after 20th May it's GEMINI season and the party gets started! Geminis are intellectual, playful and curious. Our birthstone can also be agate or pearl, in case Emerald wasn't enough! Agate represents harmony and rebalance and Pearl represents purity and beauty. Apparently Jupiter is busy this month, meaning spiritually the energy is all about growth and transformation! I'm all about it!! |

Being a subscriber to Rose and Rosie's channel feels like a rollercoaster. You need to know that one minute you might be laughing at Rosie's questions or Rose's sarcasm, but the next minute you might find yourself contemplating the topics they discuss. And after the rollercoaster ride, some people usually feel nauseous. Sometimes I get so engrossed in their conversations that I feel nauseous afterward. But unlike vomit, this is actually a pleasant feelingβa result of an exhilarating experience. After (re)watching some of their videos, I learn about them, their experiences, and I also get to learn about myself. This month, in particular, while I was on my way to work, I was listening to one of their videos where Rosie talked about how therapy had helped her with her PTSD. Even though I was already familiar with the concept of PTSD, listening to Rosie share her experience made me relate to her and made me realize that I may have PTSD as well. I truly enjoyed watching the video, but I certainly felt dizzy afterward. To summarize the events following that realization, I reflected more on my presumed PTSD, shared it with my therapist, and together we unearthed a traumatic memory we hadn't addressed before. We worked on it, and now I feel incredibly good! Something similar happened recently with Rose's OCD video. So, as I mentioned earlier, being a loyal viewer of Rose and Rosie's videos is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experienceβa rollercoaster ride that I always look forward to! P.S.: Sometimes I get philosophical, just like when Rosie starts contemplating the universe, our insignificance, and the lack of sense it all seems to make. It makes me wonder, "How can two people whom I don't know, with a completely different upbringing, make me feel so accompanied and understood?!" Sofia |

''I want to nominate my beloved budgie Sykesie, who passed over in February, as the next pet of the month. He was the sweetest, most energetic little guy you could meet and had a heart of pure gold.'' |

''I'd like to introduce my fur babies, Stella Rose (L) and Rosie Alice (R). These beautiful girls are rescue sisters who I was blessed to adopt as tiny, 6 week old kittens almost three years ago. They will be three years old on Ziggy's birthday!!! A wild life rescue habitat found their injured and pregnant momma cat, who had been hit by a car, by the side of the road. She was nursed back to health and managed to have six healthy kittens! I was on their list for approved adoptive kitten parents for pick of the kittens, and these two chose me when I went to meet the lively bunch. Stella and Rosie came into my life at the perfect time, right after I had to say goodbye to one of my other beloved cats. My special calico cat, Lexi, who was 13 years old, developed mouth cancer. I had to make the heart breaking decision to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge, where she would no longer suffer. I still had her calico sister, Abby, but we needed more kitties in our home! Stella and Rosie were the perfect addition, especially once their new big sister, 14 year old Abby, set the house rules for the rowdy little newcomers! LOL!! We now have an awesome three cat home, filled with love ... and oftentimes, long haired cat fur!! Stella and Rosie are part Maine Coon kitties!! |
