In other news… ☽ Our June-bearing strawberries are ripening and we're quick to eat every one. I've been dreaming of strawberry pie and plan to make one if we can ever curb the temptation to eat them right off the stem! Any strawberry-based recipes you love are very welcome! ☽ The linden trees are blooming! Every June I wait in great anticipation for them to flower and am THRILLED to catch their sweet scent on the breeze. Are you familiar with linden trees? Do you love them as much as I do? ☽ I visited the International Rose Test Garden last weekend and discovered my new favorite rose: Twilight Zone. The picture below doesn't do the color a lick of justice. For accurate representation, please see the images on the Heirloom Roses website. Their description nails it: “… old-fashioned flowers of the deepest, velvety purple, like the sky at twilight…features a strong citrus and spice fragrance that will entice you across the garden.” Officially obsessed.
