Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

For those of us in the US, this usually is the unofficial official first day of summer. The Twinx wrapped up their school year this last week. As 8th graders, the girls were done after their celebration on Wednesday morning while the boys had another day and a half to go and finished on Friday.
I'm not sure about you, but the Twinx are a handful to get up in the morning, so I'm ecstatic it's summer. I usually adjust my day job hours so I get off a little earlier too and the summer break is just as much for Mom and it is for them!
Other than that, it's been a relatively uneventful three-day weekend in our house with the exception of the girls and I going to see the live action The Little Mermaid.
Y'ALL!
It was so good!
The original animated movie came out when I was 9 years old. My younger sister and I watched it all the time. The Twinx watched it when they were little. I've loved most the live action versions of Disney classics (one seriously didn't work for me), and this one was no exception.
I was singing along in between munching on popcorn and slurping Cherry Coke. I was laughing at Sebastian's beleaguered attitude and nervous as I watched Ariel and Eric battle Melissa McCarthy's Ursula. And I loved every minute of it!
Have you seen it? Do you plan to? What have you been up to this last weekend?

Lots of news this week! First, I got edits back on Soldier for the Starling and have already started diving into those. I also sent off the 10K novella I told you about last time. I adored the world that has started to take shape and will be revisiting it with another project coming up soon.
I still don't have a release date for Sawyer and Evie, but as soon as I do, you'll be some of the first to know!
Waiting on Audible…
I had this great plan. I had some big surprises in store that I teased in my last newsletter. AHEM and then Audible decided to take forever and fourteen days (seriously, I'm still waiting), as they reviewed one of the biggest surprises… Written in the Beat is coming to audio!

As soon as it gets released, I'll be sure to spread the word. Callie Dalton as Charlie and Stephen Dexter as Jax are AMAZEBALLS! and I really hope to share some good news with you soon.

Want your copy? Like last time, these will be on a lottery-based system. I will tell you that I have less copies of these than I do of Written in the Beat. That being said, unlike last time, if you are not selected, you will be able to add yourself to a waitlist/preorder list for the next run.
