Dear First name / friend

Networking is a key pillar to building a successful business. I had no idea of its power until I started meeting with entrepreneurs through The Forum on a weekly basis about a year ago. The 1-1 conversations I've had with hundreds of entrepreneurs have led to new client referrals, collaborations, training opportunities, and even discovering a new direction for my business I never thought possible.

One of my new connections is Anna Chan of MyMomentum (right photo). I'm super excited about the partnership we're building to support the growth and well-being of business owners and their communities. It's the perfect example of how women entrepreneurs look for ways to support each other and, in so doing, contribute to the greater good.

There are so many incredible opportunities to meet other entrepreneurs to support your business growth. If you'd like to learn about some of them, please reach out. I'd love to help you find new ways to expand your circle of support!

Wellness Changemakers We Love
Patrice Mousseau · Satya Organic

Satya is a Sanskrit word that translates to 'a higher truth'. Truth and transparency are at the heart of their mission. We should know exactly what we’re putting on our skin. That's why their products are made with only simple, whole ingredients that your skin will love and thank you for. They use nothing but the best ingredients to support hydrated, healthy skin — without any additives, fillers, or harsh chemicals.

Looking for a solution to her baby daughter’s eczema and overwhelmed by the scientific-based evidence of the side effects of steroid creams, Patrice Mousseau decided to take matters into her own hands. Applying her journalist investigative skills, she studied traditional medicine, medical research, and academic studies and then began experimenting in her kitchen with the best organic ingredients she could find. She finally created a balm that cleared her daughter’s eczema in 2 days!

I discovered Satya products last year when I was looking for an all-natural product to heal a skin irritation around my lips and, more recently, around my eyes. Both times their soothing balms healed my skin in no time! Now I use them daily because they're so hydrating and pure.

You can find Satya in many natural retailers and online.

Could translation help you sell more?

The findings of CSA Research, based on samples from 29 countries, show that most internet users, even when fluent in English, make serious purchasing decisions with confidence only if they are reading their own language. Here’s the breakdown:
  • 65% prefer content in their own language
  • 67% tolerate mixed languages on a website
  • 73% want product reviews in their language, if nothing else
  • 66% use online machine translation to understand what they read
  • 40% will not buy from websites in other languages
If you’re considering expanding your business beyond North America, or if you know that many of your current customers are native of other languages, translation should be part of your communications plans.

Rachel Lee is a personal brand strategist, designer and creative unicorn on a mission to help impact-driven entrepreneurs repackage the way they present themselves online and create a brand presence that gets strangers saying, "I feel like I already know you"!

She helps her clients figure out their brand identity, develop an effective strategy that gets their brand in front of the right people, and redesign their brand's visuals & website so that they can present themselves online with confidence. Rachel believes that branding isn't JUST about the way you look — it's about knowing who you are, and being intentional in the way you show that to the world.

One of her clients, Amy Slater, is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer who helps moms take back control of their health and boost their energy levels from the inside-out. Before working with Rachel, Amy struggled to effectively communicate her message with her audience. Her website content poorly reflected the value she brought to the table, and she was tired of constantly needing to explain to people about what she does.

After working with Rachel, Amy was able to share her brand message with confidence and clarity and had a beautifully redesigned website to match. Today, Amy's brand continues to grow (with +16k followers on Instagram!) and impact thousands of moms who are looking to take back control of their health!

Anchored Intelligence is a must-have on your favourite podcasts list. Founded and led by award-winning journalist and entrepreneur Eleanor Beaton, it's an astute, funny show that combines big ideas with practical action, and makes you a wiser, better informed, more inspired entrepreneur.

I just listened to How Are Men Doing In The Age of Women Featuring Connor Beaton. A fabulous conversation about gender equity through the lens of men. They explore how men are really doing, why the narratives young men are being fed are concerning, and how we can partner with them to create more cohesion, grounding, and regulation for an equitable future and a productive society that’s capable of dealing with the big challenges of our time.

As a mom of two teen boys, this conversation really resonated with me. I know you'll find Eleanor's podcast both entertaining and insightful!

Wishing you a June filled with balance, results, and sunshine!
