2023 SO FAR
WHAT'S GOING ON?
 
At the end of last year, I wrote a 3-email series reminiscing about 2022 and making plans for 2023. Since it's June already (how? 🫨), it seems fitting that I update you on how this year is going.

THE β€œNO SUMMITS & BUNDLES” THING
This was definitely the most controversial announcement πŸ˜† (got so many replies about this). I'm soooo glad I stuck to my decision. It takes a lot of time and effort to present in a summit. I can say that 2023 revenue is up from 2022. And this is in part because I've been able to focus on creating and selling one offer.
 
We can also put affiliate marketing in this category. Listen, here is the thing: I don't want to send out an email full of offers and links. It's just not my thing. So when you see me share a link to someone's class/product YOU KNOW it's good. Also, I buy and use every product I recommend. There is no way around that. 
 
I also want to add that I subscribe to people who only do aff marketing and I buy from their links all the time, so I'm not poopooing πŸ’© on that business model. 
 
GROWING MY AUDIENCE
There hasn't been much of that. I just deleted 4K people from my email list πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. But as I mentioned earlier, revenue is up. 
 
I'm working on an evergreen webinar-style funnel for the membership and an ad funnel. Can you believe I've never done a webinar? Those are an online business rite of passage. 
 
The podcast 🎧 has been so much fun! And I still need to reach out to the people who filled out the guest form I shared earlier this year. I'm looking forward to guest interviews! It matches my nosey nature 🀣.
 
I'm over-thinking YouTube too much. For no real reason πŸ™„. I just need to start recording again. The channel is an amazing traffic source for my business. So, why I'm being so grouchy about it? 
 
WHAT HAS WORKED SO FAR?
Live classes, for sure. I've received very mixed feedback on it. Some people love it, some people prefer pre-recorded. But live classes sell waaayyyy better than a β€œworkshop” or anything pre-recorded. Plus, I love it! It's so much fun. And it's a repeatable process, at this point. So, I'm bringing it back in July with some format changes. Hybrid format? Stay tuned! 
 
I'm also very proud of the membership. 266 students πŸŽ‰. I'm right on track to 500 by the end of the summer. And my stretch goal of 1,000 by Dec 31st 🀩. The price is going up in 2024, so I'm going to do a big push to get my existing audience (you!) in it, before price goes up. I just need to finish the sales page first 🫣.
