Which blooms do you relish smelling?

Peonies. Honeysuckle. Lilacs. are a few of my favorites.

There is something about these flowers' smells that bring me into the present and make me want to take a full inhale through my nose, which is brilliantly amazing for you. Also, as my friend Anissa says, flowers are nature's reminder of the beauty that arises as you move through the darkness toward light.

As we approach the Summer Solstice with flowers and trees in full bloom, I invite you to approach your time outside with awe - check out awe walks -and practice inhaling through your nose while connecting with the nature around you. You may catch some lovely smells while boosting the life-giving gas of O2 throughout your body.

Breathe joyfully,
Sarah

Why Inhale Through Your Nose
  1. Your nose has many membranes that filter out unwanted particles - think dust, bacteria, and even mold.
  2. The air is warmed and humidified.
  3. Your muscles (and your brain) can get more oxygen because nitric oxide, which is released when you breathe through your nose, expands your blood vessels.
