Quote I'm Thinking About:
“We have been taught to believe that negative equals realistic and positive equals unrealistic.”
-Susan Jeffers
I read this quote in a book I’m reading (The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron). It made me think of this Life of And I’m living and leading. ‘Conventional wisdom’ teaches our brains that the more positive we are about our outcomes or dreams the more unrealistic or unattainable they become. What if you decided that wasn’t true? I’m forcing my brain there.

Summer Activity: Bring the "Chopped" Experience Home
Image item
My girls love, Chopped. If you're not familiar, contestants create a meal using a basket of ingredients. We've turned this into a fun Friday night activity for the girls and their friends. It would also make a fun night for roommates or a creative date night.

Here's how it works: Gather 5 random ingredients from your pantry or fridge. Each team has to use all ingredients in their dish. Select a category - appetizer, dinner or dessert.

Once in teams, set a 20-30 minute timer. They can use any other ingredients in the kitchen as well, but they have to incorporate the 5 secret ingredients. A judge tastes each dish and picks a winner.

It’s a fun (and a little messy) 45 minute activity.

If you - or anyone in your life - has battled anxiety, give this series a listen

Instacart: Saving me hours per week
If you’re not getting your groceries delivered, you’re crazy. I started using Instacart during the pandemic, and I’m still using it. It saves hours per week. Me or my house manager (MySherri) places the order for the week and groceries arrive at my doorstep. No more finding time to hit up multiple grocery stores to search for everything I need. Yes, there’s a delivery charge, but it’s minimal and totally worth it when I calculate the time and effort saved.
