Welcome to the Luxury Experiences newsletter! Thank you for being here. It’s finally July! In the U.S. this means 4th of July celebrations with fireworks, parades, and concerts in the park, to family gatherings and barbecues. This year we have decided to explore our own backyard - the iconic California coast - which never disappoints. Taking in the drive along Highway 1 simply puts you in the California dreamin' state of mind. First stop, Santa Cruz Boardwalk where the days are full of good ole' summer fun riding roller coasters (but these hang over the Pacific Ocean), eating fresh fish & stacks of funnel cakes, and enjoying the day with no schedule at all. As we make our way South past breathtaking Big Sur we will drive by our “happy place," the beautiful, quaint town of Carmel. - well known as the home of Pebble Beach! But this time we keep on going to Hearst Castle. The storied project of William Randolph Hearst the publishing tycoon. In all its opulence this incredible property took years in the making and as the story has it, you can still find many of his exotic animals roaming the area. We will then escape into Dutch culture within the hidden gem of Solvang, and put our toes in the sand at Avila & Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo. I write this with such gratitude for friends who are opening their Casita for us to stay. Ahhh, this is summer! And our clients are planning their next big trips out into the world too. From romantic getaways to Hawaii, graduation celebrations pairing the historical city of Athens with the Instagrammable Cyclades islands, to a family sailing off the coast of Italy and South African Safaris ~ we are working across the continents. The exciting news is, the world is open and everyone is traveling! So in the spirit of summer, we are excited to highlight a destination you might want to consider if you are looking for sun & sand full of rich history, and activities for the entire family. Until next time, enjoy this season and keep dreaming about what's next! |
