SO much of what we experience is tied to our nervous system - for better or worse. And, we rarely give our body, much less our nervous system, much time to relax and restore.
 
As our unconscious control center, the nervous system is responsible for sending signals throughout the body in order to trigger a response. Everything from breathing and heart rhythms to evacuation and arousal. 
 
An imbalanced nervous system makes it difficult to rest, relax, and heal from within. 
 
Understanding how it works and what it needs to be healthy can improve immunity, energy, anxiety, depression, and quality of life. 
 
Your nervous system keeps you safe.
Your nervous system keeps you functional.
Your nervous system helps keep you alive.
Your nervous system helps you heal and restore.
 
It’s so critical, and yet, we often ignore the need to heal this specific facet of the human body, mind, and soul. Your body needs the restorative powers of a healthy nervous system.

  • Practice meditation and deep breathwork
  • Engage in gentle movement and low cardio
  • Trigger the Vagus nerve with cold water immersion (cold shower or ice bath)
  • Eat a healthy balanced diet of veggies, lean proteins, and low sugar
  • Maintain a consistent sleep schedule
  • Take supplements like ashwagandha, ginseng, and Rhodiola Rosea
  • Reduce your caffeine intake
