Hi First name / everyone, I hope this newsletter finds you well!? I have just returned from taking a breather (trying to at least) in the Western Cape of South Africa. After a crazy month making the 2022 South African Photographer of the Year awards ceremony a reality, it is time to take a moment to reflect and get ready for an exciting few months ahead! WINTER IN CHOBE A FEW HIGHLIGHTS |

As winter kicks in on the Chobe river, not only wildlife behaviour changes, but also the quality of the light! While sometime the fires burning on the Namibian side of the the river can create a haze, the beauty of winter sunrises and sunsets is something so special. This is my favourite season for incredible tones in the sky. While most of the images in this section are black and white, I hope to share more winter style shots as the season progresses! I hope you enjoy a few recent highlights! |

The awards ceremony was an amazing success! We owe so much of this to our incredible sponsors and judges, this competition wouldn't have been possible without all of you. Congratulations to all the shortlisted and awarded photographers this year, wow we had some amazing work on display!
