Okay now the longer version …

When I created The Canva Template Shop, there was nothing like it.

I had just finished three back-to-back, unsuccessful IVF cycles and I wanted to dive back into work after a few months off.

I went through my client messages and noticed a common theme:

“How can I create graphics in Canva, that looks professional without hiring a designer or spending a lot of time” OR “How are you creating your graphics, can you teach me?”

My intuition told me to start offering a simple service of bundled visuals to clients.
I started with the basics. A Facebook page banner, Instagram post graphics, a free resource, and a brand board to pull everything into one place. My clients were saving time, simplified their marketing and content creation, and converted their audience to their list, DM’s, and offers.

I was on to something.

I started sharing tips and videos online, collaborated with other female business owners (remember this?), and helped with Canva questions in Facebook Groups.
I wasn’t very popular with graphic designers for teaching and recommending Canva, but again my intuition told me to keep going.

I created smaller sets and bundles and they sold fast. I played with different brand collections and kept polling my audience. Soon I was dubbed The Canva Queen.

Fast forward two years and two more unsuccessful IVF cycles. I poured myself into creating and launching two full collections. I named them Eva and Alyssa. The name I wanted to call my baby girl, and to date, they are still the two most popular collection.

I put all my energy into being an amazing Mom for my son Kyle and into creating the best Canva Template Shop Resource for female business owners.

And would you believe it, First name / friend - the shop was a huge success.

I started teaching other businesses how to create and sell Canva Templates too. First, a coaching course, called The Clever with Canva Course (whoa who remembers that?), and then more recently I updated that into two courses, that teach

I was invited to Canva’s Headquarters in Sydney to share everything I had learned about creating Canva Templates for female business owners and how we can make it even better and easier for Canva users and business owners. I consulted with them on what is now the Canva Creators Program.

Today…
  • Canva users are able to access gorgeous designs for their business inside of Canva (so much easier)
  • Creating + selling Canva Templates has become a #trend and I couldn’t be more proud
  • Canva pays designers for their amazing designs, elements, and templates
  • It’s much easier to find high-quality Canva Templates for every business need  —  even Creative Market finally has a category just for Canva Templates
  • So many business owners have added Canva Template to their offers to complement their services or
  • Gone on to start their own Canva Template Shops
  • I’ve learned a great deal about digital products, offers, passive income and so much more (if you need support send me a note)
And it’s only just the beginning, friend. Canva has over 85 million users and on average 4.4. million businesses are started every year. And they all need marketing graphics to share their services and products.

I’m so glad I followed my intuition.

I have learned (the hard way) that when you are guided by the Universe to listen.
To trust, and to move, even if you don’t know how or why.

To grow in one area, we sometimes have to let go of another.

And now I am being guided to serve and support female business owners in a whole new way. To combine everything I have learned about business, design, launching, and strategy with my intuitive gifts. Follow along here.

My vision for the sale of the shop

I couldn’t have done any of this without YOU. Without the feedback, the questions, the support of my work. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. For old friends who have been with me since the start, to my new friends, to my clients, coaches, and team members. It has been the most incredible journey and I am so deeply grateful for each and every one of you.

In order for me to sell the shop, I really wanted someone who would care about my shop, clients, and audience as much as I do. Someone who can take what I have built and make it even better. Someone who could give you the content and marketing solutions that you need now and in the future.

And I found her!

As a self-proclaimed Canva junkie, her mission now is to take that creative energy and expertise and bring practical, effective strategies for women entrepreneurs to leverage their content and stand out online - no burn out required.
