Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in
-Leonard Cohen, Anthem

Dear First name / Friend

I am letting myself experience the wildness of summer. Long days and plunges in water, untamed boys running free (sometimes naked) and bare feet covered in earth's sand or mud. Yet, laundry piles up and dishes go undone, emails stack up and my breath can shorten. This chaos does not come without challenge.

This is a note to remind you, if you're feeling at all overwhelmed, you're not alone. More than one thing can be true at once. The creative lover Leonard Cohen reminds us to drop expectations, forget your perfect offering and let the light in. But how?

Here's what I do to open my cracks to loving light…

Take a big deep inhale
and a long slow exhale
Soften my shoulders
“What do I need right now?"

And then I listen, do I need to take a walk, fold that laundry, or smile at the chaos?

What do I need. What do I need. What do I need.

We are so often focused on other's needs, tasks, or planning. Yet to live intuitively and be in contact with our heart, to bring us back to center, we must first ask ourselves what we need.

We are all building a relationship with ourselves, every last one of us. Even if you had one already, you are still building, because we are a dynamic, living creature always changing, adapting and emerging from our experiences moment to moment.

Fall in love with yourself, who you were and who you're becoming. Be your own ally.

Love,
Ellen

Retreat Program

Most of us are aware we need to be kinder to ourselves, rest more, slow down, practice mindfulness..etc etc (blah blah.) However we often have a hard time doing it.

Yet the health of a forest depends on what is underground. Just as the health of you, me, our families, and communities depends on the roots we are standing on moment to moment.

Join this one of a kind program to build an intuitive, peaceful, energized root system. We are all co-becoming with one another, our roots intertwined, your self-acceptance uplifts mine.
