LOVI tote bags are made in collaboration with Saja Fairy Hands, a small social enterprise committed to empowering single mothers. While the textile sector in Sri Lanka has had positive effects on the economy, it also depletes natural resources, increases greenhouse gas emissions and creates pollution. Thankfully, sustainable practices are becoming an objective for more and more clothing brands.

The ladies of Saja Fairy Hands form a support system helping each other through challenges and learning new skills from one another. They receive training to improve their craft––stitching techniques, design skills and quality control standards. These women earn a sustainable income at this job, allowing them to invest in education for themselves and their children, and become more self-sufficient.

The process of making these LOVI bags involves meticulous attention to detail.
