I hope you had a great week! Our week here was okay, however, on Monday afternoon, Ziva The Diva went to the Rainbow Bridge. She was sixteen years old and she was not remembering who we were or where she was, she was only eating treats when we moved into the new place, but after a short time, she stopped eating all together and was becoming a shell of herself. It was her time and now she is with her family and friends at the Rainbow Bridge. We will miss her craziness, her demanding requests, her diva attitude, but most of all we will miss all the love she gave us! Rest in peace dear Ziva.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK
Rice & Bean Casserole
Looking for a hearty, easy to prepare, sure to please dinner recipe idea? Look no further…this rice & bean casserole is it! In an hour, you can have this delicious and filling meal ready to eat! Just serve with a tossed green salad and you have a balanced meal the whole family will love! Here’s how to make it…(Prep Time: 10 min. Cook Time: 1 hr. Servings: 4)
Ingredients:
2 Cups Uncooked White Rice
3 TBS. Olive Oil
1 15 oz. Can Kidney Beans (drained & rinsed)
1 15 oz. Can Black Beans (drained & rinsed)
1 15 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Broth (beef, chicken, or vegetable broth)
2 tbs. Taco Seasoning (any brand)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl add in all of the ingredients and stir well.
Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray, add the casserole mixture and spread it out evenly.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 50-55 minutes or until the rice is tender (If the rice is not tender when the time is up, continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes at a time until the rice is tender).
Top with your favorite taco toppings and enjoy!

Hello Friends!!
Thank Goodness It's Friday!
It's the end of another week! I hope you all had a fantastic week! I hope the weather has been nice and cool where you live. The “Excessive Heat Warning” that was supposed to end on Monday 6/17 was extended through tomorrow night! The temps have been between 111-115 degrees and there has been some monsoonal humidity a few days this week which made being outside for my potty breaks unbearable! Mama has been carrying me a lot this week while outside. I am a little on the heavier side which mama struggles with sometimes, but I am okay with that because I like being carried around and it's mama's job to keep me safe from being out in the heat (I am being funny, but really, I appreciate that mama takes such good care of me)!
In other news, my dear kitty sister, Ziva The Diva went to the Rainbow Bridge on Monday afternoon. We are all sad and the house feels empty without her here. I will miss my partner in crime, she always knew how to create havoc in the house! I learned a lot from her, so in honor of Ziva The Diva, I will continue to create havoc around the house and make mama crazy as she did!

Hello Friends!!
Happy Friday Everybody!
Well, this may be my last post here on mama's newsletter (mama may continue writing about my adventures, we will see) because I am now living at the Rainbow Bridge. I arrived on Monday afternoon and I was greeted by my doggy sister Tillie Audriana, my doggy brother Nakita Boo Boo & my kitty brother Jax Kitty as well as my other family members and the many friends I have made while on the pet social media platforms I have been on over the years. I really miss being at home with my family on earth (I especially miss my partner in crime Audriana) but I am watching over them everyday.
I really don't want to loose touch with all of you and I do hope mama decides to share my adventures at the Rainbow Bridge with all of you, that would make me happy! Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend and hopefully I will meow with you all next week and remember, ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!
