Good afternoon - Lynn here.
Popping in to say hi and share this week's energy đź’« tip for your week ahead:
One of my favorite aspects of writing is sharing with you every Sunday afternoon! Regrettably, this week was particularly challenging for me, so I didn’t have much prepared.
Sometimes stress can knock us off course, and that’s what happened with me. Fortunately, one of my favorite tools worked like magic; all I had to do was nap.
If you struggle as I did, I highly recommend this tool for you too!
Energy tip this week: Yoga Nidra.
This powerful technique is ideal for when you feel overwhelmed or as a regular practice to heal your mind and body.
It’s the perfect reset remedy to meet all your needs.
Yoga Nidra is a relaxation method that brings you into a state of deep relaxation while maintaining awareness. It’s like a guided meditation in which you lie down, follow the instructor's voice, and release stress and tension.
This practice calms the mind and revitalizes the body, leaving you feeling refreshed and at peace. There are no complex yoga poses—just a straightforward and soothing exercise for overall well-being.
Also known as Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), Yoga Nidra is an easier alternative for those who struggle with traditional meditation while offering similar health benefits.
Many people suffer from a high-alert nervous system throughout the day; this quick therapy helps to calm their system.
Practicing Yoga Nidra for 15-20 minutes, 1-3 times a week, helps you to switch off your thoughts, unwind from daily stress, and relax your muscles for mindful sleep.
Many health benefits and peer-reviewed research support this valuable therapy; I'll look forward to sharing more about it in a future newsletter.
I encourage you to try it out yourself. There are many free sessions available on YouTube.
Ally Boothroyd of Sarovara Yoga is my favorite. She offers a wide selection—from 10-minute pick-me-ups to 2-hour sessions designed to guide you into sleep.
Wishing you a beautiful Sunday evening.
