Frosty mornings awakens our senses, it’s getting harder to get out in the garden with the frost sitting heavy on the landscape. Plants are dormant, the grass has stopped growing which is a blessing for the chief gardener of lawns, daylight is less, but this is winter so why are we constantly surprised by frosty morning, wetter days & snow?

Winter gives us time to reflect & move forward with our plans. Time is spent de cluttering the house and our minds whilst we warm our bones by the fire and fill our bodies with hearty stews.

So much is happening around the region; Words in Winter, Borealis back on Lake Daylesford, Wellness Events, and Grand Final is always better in the Country, and what a better place to stay on Father’s Day. Fathers need a treat so why not book a stay and enjoy a fire pit experience.

Enjoy a romantic evening toasting marshmallows around the fire pit whilst star gazing. You'll be warm and cosy with supplied cushions, rugs and warmed mulled wine (non-alcoholic). A savoury gourmet picnic hamper filled with locally sourced, hand crafted, paddock to plate produce will be awaiting your indulgence. 
(This outdoor experience is weather permitted. In-case of rain, the experience will be moved to the enclosed Pavilion which includes a potbelly fireplace overlooking the water & Wombat State Forest. (Toasting marshmallows will not be available in the Pavilion.)

Available when you book a minimum 2-night stay at 17pounds Country Estate. Fire Pit experience will be on the second night of your stay.
