In a continued effort to support our local entrepreneurs we're hiring for a Technical Support Assistant. If you believe in our mission, we invite you to explore this rewarding position or pass it on to other purpose-driven people. We have extended the deadline to Monday, 7/31, and the details are below.
 
There are several upcoming events I'd like to bring to your attention. 
 
First, we are offering FREE workshops through our Rural Women-Led Business Fund and Fortaleza Fund 2023 Summer Workshop Series. These workshops are held via Zoom in English and Spanish. Visit the event calendar on our website homepage for additional details and registration links. Participants are eligible to apply for up to $2000 in grant funding!
 
Second, FSWCF is thrilled to participate in the West Slope Startup Week, August 21-25, in Durango. This FREE event is full of great resources for startup businesses. Please join us! 
We have financing available for beginning farmers and ranchers, and agriculturally-supportive business owners statewide who are Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, and Asian or Pacific Islander, women or immigrants. Information about this fund is noted below.
 
Finally, this month we're spotlighting a women-owned business that received financing from our Rural Women-Led Business Fund. Please read below to learn more about Maya's Carniceria and the incredible impact this business has on the local community it serves.
