WELCOME TO #AB30 —
AUGUST 1st - 31st
Whether you’re already 100% in for the challenge, or whether you have ZERO clue what this challenge is, this email should give you some details on everything I've been talking about on IG - the Animal-Based 30 Challenge.
The Animal-Based 30 Challenge was created by
Heart & Soil Supplements +
Dr Paul Saladino (@paulsaladinomd). In short, it's 30 days of eating quality animal organs & meat, fruit, honey, quality dairy.
That’s it.
Why should I eat animal-based for 30 days?
The simple goal is this: eat foods with the most bioavailable nutrients, and eliminate the most “toxic” plant foods and fats. An animal-based diet consists of meat, organs, fruit, honey and raw dairy. Some people call it the “ancestral” diet, because its everything our ancestors thrived off of. And while this diet may seem restrictive to some, there's actually a ton of delicious, nutritious foods that you can eat throughout the challenge.
You'll be surprised at how good you'll feel by the end of 30 days. I sure was. I lost extra fat (while still eating a TON), my libido skyrocketted, energy was up and sleep was optimal *chef's kiss*. My hormones and period regulated - and it ultimately helped me prepare my body for a healthy pregnancy!
WAIT… PLANTS ARE TOXIC?
You’re probably wondering, “why would anyone eliminate vegetables?” In short, vegetables have forms of “plant toxins” that have the ability to cause systemic inflammation and inhibit mineral absorption.
The hard truth the media doesn’t tell you is this: you can get all of your necessary nutrients, in more bioavailable forms, by eating quality animal foods. Sure, vegetables have plenty of nutrients - but the chemical compounds they naturally contain also inhibit nutrient absorption (especially if the plant foods are raw.) Phytic acid, Oxalates, Goitrogens - just to name a few.
By sticking to a high-quality animal-based diet, you’re getting all of the bioavailable nutrients you need without any side effects or unnecessary inflammation. Dr Paul Saladino goes into detail on this in his book,
The Carnivore Code - a MUST read IMO.
