Hi First name / friend,

We're excited to share the news of PIH member, Cynthia Martinez, whose recent documentary has been shown at multiple film festivals and will soon be premiering in Holland! 

 

First Voice Generation follows 3 local Latino high school students as they navigate finishing their senior year during the pandemic while applying as first-generation students for college. Cynthia received top honors as “Best Director” at the Los Angeles Mexican American Television and Film Festival. Congratulations, Cynthia!

 

The Holland premier is at the Knickerbocker Theater on Wednesday, October 4 at 6 p.m. You can also show your support by attending a fundraiser viewing and Q&A the following night, Thursday, October 5, at 6:30 p.m. (also at the Knickerbocker). The $10 entrance fee goes to final production costs of the film and to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland.

We're back in the studio next week for our Fall Membership.

 

Just a reminder that class must now be cancelled 6 hours in advance in order to have the option of making up the class another time.

Don't worry if you're not a runner, Mandy & Renee will definitely be walking, though others will be running if you want to join them. Meet up with friends, and help important organizations in our community.
