Day 1
Welcome to San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica. Be met at the airport by your private transfer to Hotel Grano de Oro, an exquisite 19th-century manor house that’s been converted into a boutique hotel.
 
After exploring the vibrant surrounding neighborhood, visit the tranquil rooftop terrace of your hotel. Take in panoramic views of the city, cocktail in hand.
 
Day 2
First stop this morning is a coffee plantation, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the ancient techniques that experts use to produce some of the finest coffee in Costa Rica and worldwide.
 
In the afternoon, visit Poás Volcano National Park, where we will experience a noticeable change in temperature and lush vegetation typical of the cloud forest. Poás Volcano, an active volcano that stands at 8,885 ft and boasts a massive crater that spans over a mile in diameter and descends to a depth of 1050 ft.
 
Day 3
Check out from your hotel this morning after breakfast and depart on a short flight to La Fortuna, home to the Arenal Volcano, one of the world's most active volcanoes. 
 
Here you'll find your home in the jungle at Nayara Tented Camp, a clifftop tent with the vibrant rainforest below. Each spacious tent features a private pool fed by hot springs, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in your own oasis.
 
Day 4
Explore the jungle from above with a walk on the world-famous Mystic Hanging Bridges. The trail encompasses a series of 10 sturdy bridges and 6 suspended bridges set within a vast 600-acre reserve, The reserve is teeming with vibrant vegetation and a diverse range of wildlife. From the highest bridge you'll be treated to a view of a 60ft high waterfall, tucked within the rainforest.
 
This evening, relax in your private thermal pool as the sun sets. 
 
Day 5
Today you'll visit Tenorio National Park to discover one of Costa Rica's hidden gems. Make your way along the trails meandering deep in the forest to the river's edge. Here you'll find bubbling mud pots and pass through an ancient forest until you reach “Los Teñideros", the meeting point of two crystal streams, each with a unique mixture of minerals that turns the river a bright vivid blue. 
 
See the Rio Celeste Waterfall and the equally stunning Azure Pool. While swimming is off-limits in the national park, you'll be give the chance to cool off in similarly bright-blue waters just outside the park borders.
 
Day 6
Today, take in the fresh air with a day at leisure at your resort. The grounds are bursting with wildlife. You can spot sloths and monkeys on our trails, or join a bird watching walk at dawn. After dark, you can join a frog scouting tour where you can see diminutive red-eyed tree frogs and blue-jean frogs in the ponds.
 
The resort is also a botanist and gardener’s paradise. The trails are teeming with tropical plants and exotic flowers, from heliconias and orchids to cacao and plantain trees. The Armadillo Trail showcases fruit trees on both sides of the winding path.
 
Day 7
After breakfast, catch a plane to Santa Teresa, via San Jose. Located on the southern tip of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, this vibrant paradise features instagram worthy beaches along with a laidback vibe.
 
Here you'll stay at Nintipa, a boutique hotel is surrounded by the deep blue waters of the Gulf of Nicoya. It's located in one of the world’s Blue Zones, five UNESCO-recognized regions where people are known to live longer and be healthier than anywhere else on earth.
 
Day 8
Embark on a guided excursion through the captivating tropical dry forest of the Nicoya Peninsula. This immersive journey offers a unique opportunity to witness a fascinating array of wildlife as you traverse the trails alongside a knowledgeable naturalist guide. In addition to the captivating fauna, you'll also have the chance to marvel at the abundant flora that this region proudly showcases.
 
Day 9
Today, you're off to Tortuga Island. Take a boat ride along the coast enjoying the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the Nicoya Península where you may encounter cheerfully dolphins, jumping manta rays, primitive turtles and in some cases while in season humpback & pilot whales. 
 
Upon arrival at Tortuga Island, enjoy time snorkeling in the volcanic rock reef surrounded by crystalline waters, home of Angelfish, Porcupine Fish, Spotted Eagle Rays among other tropical species.
 
Day 10
After breakfast, take a short flight from Santa Teresa to San Jose for your onward flight home.
